Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 8 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use GovMotCheck, including people using screen readers, keyboards, voice control or magnification.
Our Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. We have not yet had an independent audit, so we describe our status as partially tested.
What We Do
- Pages work with keyboard only, with visible yellow focus indicators.
- Headings, landmarks and a skip link make pages easy to navigate with assistive technology.
- Text is at least 19px by default, high contrast and resizes up to 200% without loss of content.
- Pages reflow on small screens with no horizontal scrolling.
- Every infographic has descriptive alternative text.
- The lookup form has labels and announces results to screen readers.
Known Limitations
- Infographics are images: the same facts appear in the page text beside them.
- Some very wide tables scroll sideways inside their own box on narrow screens.
Report A Problem
If you cannot access something, email [email protected] with the page address and the problem. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with our reply, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
